Long before witches learned to curse, they learned to protect. They blessed the thresholds of their homes, tended the spirits of place, marked their doors with symbols of protection, and created boundaries that guarded both the seen and unseen.
Protection is not rooted in fear—it is an act of stewardship. It is the ongoing practice of tending yourself, your home, your magical tools, and the spaces where your spirit is called to dwell.
Standing the Watch is the second gathering in The Hearth Practitioners Series, a progressive path in practical witchcraft designed to help practitioners build confidence through hands-on magical practice.
During this workshop we will explore:
* The foundations of magical protection.
* The difference between wards, shields, and defensive magic.
* Creating energetic and physical boundaries.
* Cleansing and reinforcing your magical space.
* Building practical wards you can continue working with at home.
* Creating and consecrating a personal protective talisman.
This is not simply a lecture. Every participant will actively create and work protective magic during the evening, leaving with practical skills and a personally crafted talisman they can continue working with long after the workshop has ended.
Whether you are new to witchcraft or have been walking your path for years, understanding how to stand the watch is one of the most important skills any practitioner can develop.

Doors open 45 minutes before the workshop to allow time to settle in, enjoy tea or coffee, and connect with community.
What to Bring
* A journal and pen.
* A mug if you would like tea or coffee.
* A small wearable or carryable item you would like to transform into a protective talisman. This could be a pendant, keychain, pocket stone, charm, bracelet, or another meaningful item that can be carried with you in daily life.
All herbs, ritual supplies, crafting materials, and consecration materials required for the workshop will be provided.
