Durham Miners Association and No Sweat presents...
STAND UP FOR THE MINERS
A night of comedy and politics in support of the Durham Miners Gala.
Starring headline comic, the legendary Mark Thomas and hosted by Andrew O'Neill.
Other acts TBC. The evening will also feature a panel discussion on the lessons of the 1984-85 Miners Strike 40 years.
All proceeds will go to the Marras - Friends of Durham Miners Gala.
Friday 26 September 2025 • Redhills – Durham Miners Hall • Flass Street • Durham DH1 4BE • 7pm – 10.30pm
Tickets are £20 each and all proceeds will go to help fund the 2026 Gala. If you can, please also make an extra donation when you buy your tickets.
Stand Up For The Miners is presented in partnership with No Sweat, the grassroots campaign that builds solidarity among workers' worldwide and makes the T-shirt that fights sweatshop labour! No Sweat is also the official supper to the Durham Miners Gala.
The 140th Durham Miners Gala takes place on Saturday 11 July 2026.
