Amai Comedy Club – Comedy Writing Course
Have you always dreamed of writing your own stand-up comedy set, but don't know where to start? Or have you been stuck in a writer's block for a while? Then this comedy writing course is for you!
In this course, you'll learn step by step how to build your own comedy set. No experience is required – beginners will receive clear guidance and practical exercises to help them get started right away. If you already have experience, you'll challenge yourself to create a completely new set from scratch. Through a combination of individual and group exercises, you'll get the motivation and support you need to keep writing fresh material.
This course is ideal for:
Beginners who don't know how to get started.
Comedians who feel stuck and are looking for fresh inspiration.
Anyone who enjoys playing with humor and developing original material.
Step by step, we'll work towards creating your own unique comedy set. And we'll bring it to life during an exciting showcase performance!

Instructor: Katrien Vandepitte
Katrien Vandepitte is the co-founder of Compagnie Amai, one of the largest and best-known improv comedy groups in Flanders. She has been a multiple-time quarterfinalist and semifinalist at the Dutch Theatresports Tournament in Utrecht.
She is also the co-founder of Amai Producties and Amai Comedy Club, where she regularly performs as both an improv comedy MC and a stand-up comedy MC. Katrien performs stand-up comedy and improv comedy in both Dutch and English.
She was a finalist in the Comedy Talent Award 2023 and was selected for the preliminary rounds of Cameretten, Leids Cabaret Festival, and the Lunatics Comedy Award 2024.
