Stand-Up Comedy - Joke Gym - (Sunday Night Drop-In)

Have you already attended one of our classes and want to keep going? Are you interested in playing with other comics on a regular basis? Join our first 6-week Stand-Up Comedy Joke Gym and work with others in crafting your jokes! Taught by one the most seasoned comedians in the biz, this ongoing class offers:

🤣 Teaching by Professional Comic(s)

Get pointers and guidelines for writing your jokes to be ready for the stage.

🎭 Feedback by Professionals and Peers

Receive comments and suggestions from other comics in your group or from professionals in the room.

🔥 Comraderie

As many of you found by taking the other classes, there are some great people to work with at our classes!

👀 Get out of the House

It's in person and a wholesome activity that can get you out of the house and into a group of adults up to something good!

🎬 Refine Your Material

Really work on delivering your material. With the structure that comes with having something in your calendar, you can take the time to tease out your set!

👏 Stage Time

Each week everyone will be able to share their jokes in a small group and a few people will be able to get on stage and deliver their stand-up material!

This program is perfect for aspiring comedians, public speakers, or anyone looking to add humour to their repertoire but is especially geared for graduates of our other programs.

🌟 Class format will consist of time learning from the front as well as working in small groups. Limited time will be reserved for performance each week.

The 90-minute classes are timed so that you can stay for the show at Absolute Comedy that starts at 8 PM (optional).

This program is perfect for aspiring comedians, public speakers, or anyone looking to add humour to their repertoire but is especially geared for graduates of our other programs.
