Stand up Comedy and Improv

Spontaneous Mind, an educational non-profit, uses applied improvisational tools to improve communication, collaboration, and innovation. These two classes offer a choice between Stand Up Comedy and Intermediate/ Advanced Improv. Each 6 week session is only $120.00!

When people engage in improv exercises, they learn to listen actively to others, to respond thoughtfully, and to work collaboratively. These skills are critical in any setting where communication is essential, such as in the workplace or in personal relationships.

Founders of Spontaneous Mind, Jaime Rich and Randy Wight, co-produce Act II improv and Partners in Crime, while continuing to perform in both shows.

Jaime Rich is lead instructor for improv classes at the Campbell as well as teaching all over the East Bay for organizations like Town Hall Theater, Acalanes Adult Education, Mt. Diablo Adult Education, and Martinez Adult Education, just to name a few.

Randy Wight is head of instruction for Standup Comedy Classes at the Campbell. Teaching at Under the Sun Studios beginning in 2011, Randy uses a mash up style of improvisation, standup and classic public speaking platforms to give his students a solid foundation to take on open mic nights or even headlining gigs.
