About this Event
Based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Ibram X. Kendi, the documentary explores anti-Black racist ideas and imagery that were developed and enshrined in American culture throughout history. The Office of Inclusion and Diversity is hosting a free screening, followed by a panel discussion. Panelists include: Dr. Ibram X. Kendi (National Book Award-winning & New York Times bestselling author), Roger Ross Williams (Director & Co-Producer), David Teague (Writer & Co-Producer), and Alisa Payne (Co-Producer).
Registration is required, and dinner will be served. This event is open to the entire SOM community, as well as the broader Yale and New Haven community. This event is co-sponsored by The African-American Cultural Center, The School of Public Health, The Yale African American Affinity Group, The Yale School of Music, and the New Haven Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
