Stallings Island Paddle (May Monthly Paddle Reschedule)

Paddle from above the headgate to Stallings Island with hopes of seeing and feeding the Donkey's on our paddle. Part of the monthly get together paddles. This is a moving river and put in is above the Canal Headgates. You can bring your own Kayak or plan ahead and rent one. It is a walk to the put in, so have someone to help you or wheels for your kayak if it is on the heavier side. Be ready to launch at 5pm. It is a great scenic paddle. Bring a camera for pictures but make sure it is in a bag or attached to you. If your items go in the river, they are lost. (I've personally lost a lot of cell phones in the river) You can bring Carrots and Apples for the donkeys. You are not allowed to get out and walk the island as it is considered trespassing. You can feed them from your Kayak tho. They love it. Also bring yourself some sort of Hydration.
