About this Event
🎬 Lights. Camera. Action!
Join the Office of the People’s Counsel (OPC) for a dynamic and unforgettable evening as we celebrate 50 years of protecting, educating, and empowering District utility consumers.
This milestone reception marks the official unveiling of OPC’s commemorative history book, Currents of Change: OPC’s Journey to Protect Utility Consumers, which chronicles five decades of advocacy, progress, and partnership across all eight wards of the District.
Set against the iconic backdrop of the International Spy Museum, guests will enjoy an elevated mix-and-mingle reception designed for connection, celebration, and reflection. The evening will feature:
- ✨ A red carpet arrival with step-and-repeat backdrop
- 📸 Professional photo opportunities throughout the event
- 🏆 A special awards presentation honoring outstanding community advocates and partners whose grassroots leadership has ensured resident voices are heard citywide
- 🥂 Elegant hors d’oeuvres and light refreshments in a festive, social atmosphere
This is more than a reception—it is a celebration of people, purpose, and progress. District leaders, community champions, stakeholders, and partners will gather to honor OPC’s legacy while networking, reconnecting, and building momentum for the future of consumer protection.
Your presence underscores the District’s commitment to the protections highlighted in the history book and the decades of service delivered by OPC and its partners.
