*Applicants must be able to demonstrate at least two years of professional experience as a producer in their art-form(s). Applicants must be 18+.


THIS WORKSHOP WILL COVER:

This workshop invites producers of stage and screen to learn basic tools for navigating the process of creating Intimate Content for performance whether on stage or screen.

Topics will include:

  • Support for creation of Intimate Content from casting, audition, rehearsal to performance and beyond
  • Guidance on Intimacy Breakdown of a Script
  • Hiring an Intimacy Coordinator
  • Intimacy Coordinator Workflow
  • Working with all relevant Departments in planning, rehearsal and performance
  • Principles of consent-based practice
  • Structuring Intimacy Rehearsals
  • Running a Closed Set/ Rehearsal Room
  • Providing ongoing support of all performers, creatives and crew
  • Communication structures around staging Intimate Content
  • Introduction to choreography of intimacy and movement language
  • Guidance on documentation/ Nudity Riders and Contingency
  • Crew briefings & Content Advisory
  • Closure, deroling and After care

NOTE:

Please wear loose clothing as there will be some practical work.

NB: Please note that this workshop is not training to become an intimacy professional but is an introduction to principles that can influence current practice.



DETAILS:

Dates: This workshop takes place over two morning sessions; attendance at both sessions is required to complete the workshop.

  • Wednesday 20 May, 9.30am–12pm, AND
  • Friday 22 May, 9.30am–12pm

A short break will be included in each session.

Cost: €15
