The longest stage of the 2025 Tour takes on a tough 186.9 km route through all five Warwickshire districts, with six categorised climbs—the most of any stage.
Starting from Atherstone, which hosts the men’s race for the first time, the peloton travels through Ansley, Bedworth, and Rugby, hitting the intermediate sprint in Cubbington after 85 km.
But it’s the second half that bites.
Climbs come thick and fast:
• 🚵 Friz Hill (near Wellesbourne)
• 🚵 Fant Hill (Upper Brailes)
• 🚵 Sun Rising Hill – 900m at 10%
• 🚵 Burton Dassett Hills – tackled three times in the finishing circuit
Expect fireworks on the final ascents at Burton Dassett Hills Country Park, the same finish where Mathieu van der Poel lit it up in 2019. Over 2,100 metres of climbing makes this a key GC day.
