Stacy Mitchhart’s musical journey began in Cincinnati, Ohio, in a home filled with jazz guitar masters like Wes Montgomery and Johnny Smith. Drawn to the six-string and inspired by Little Richard’s outrageous showmanship, he developed the dynamic performer he is today.“I heard Springsteen, Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, but that stuff never moved me,” Mitchhart recalls. “When I saw Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland and B.B. King, I knew what I wanted to do.” Another key influence was Cincinnati guitarist and singer Frank Hedges, whose drum-like guitar style taught Mitchhart to focus on groove.
A lifelong bandleader, Mitchhart rose to the top of Cincinnati’s blues scene, launching his recording career with Blues Transfusion and releasing over a dozen albums, including Grown Ass Man and Live From B.B. King’s. Now recognized as one of Nashville’s top live blues acts, he continues to tour extensively, bringing his high-energy performances to audiences worldwide.
