The August meeting topic is "Disaster's Happen....Are You Ready?
Clint Ory will be presenting on how the Parish is prepared for disaster, including assisting the most vulnerable members of our parish.
Highly experienced public safety leader with over 34 years of experience in fire service, emergency medical service, and emergency management. Currently the Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness for St. Tammany Parish, responsible for all-hazards planning and response. Previously served as Assistant Fire Chief for St. Tammany Fire Protection District 4 and Chief of Administration for Fire Protection District 13, gaining expertise in operations, administration, and strategic planning. Holds a B.S. in Fire Administration (Magna Cum Laude), an A.S. in Fire Science, and a Diploma in Paramedic Studies. A Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic with numerous certifications in fire investigation, instruction, safety, hazardous materials, terrorist threats, and incident command. Successfully completed the National Emergency Management Basic Academy and the National Emergency Management Advanced Academy. Recipient of numerous awards, including First Responder of the Year, the Louisiana Distinguished Civilian Service Medal, the Friends of the Military Award, and the YMCA Northshore Heroes Award. Dedicated to community service and enhancing safety and preparedness.

Jennifer Rush PsyD, LPC-S, LMFT-SC has been working in the mental health field since 2008. In her practice, her specialty is in emotion intelligence, relationships, and intimate & reproductive health. Plus, she is a professor for a counseling MH program and finds time to volunteer for JLGC.
