St. Pete Clothing Swap Shops 2026

Join us for the Swap Shop, a community clothing exchange focused on reducing textile waste while creating space for connection. Hosted at Grassroots Kava on Central Avenue and run by St. Pete Eco Club, a social club of IDEAS For Us Tampa Bay, this event invites neighbors to refresh their wardrobes in a fun, low-waste way.

How it works:

• Bring up to 20 gently used adult clothing items
• Clothing for all genders is welcome
• Shoes and accessories are accepted
• All items must be clean and in good condition
• Browse and swap items freely throughout the event
• No tickets or point system — take what you like!
• Any clothing not selected will be donated to CASA Thrift, supporting survivors of human trafficking

Why this matters:
In the U.S. alone, millions of tons of clothing are sent to landfills each year, with the majority of textiles worn only a handful of times before being discarded. Clothing swaps are a simple, local way to interrupt that cycle. Every item swapped is one less item wasted, one less new purchase needed, and one more chance to keep useful materials in circulation.
