St. Luke's Hybrid Childbirth Class

St. Luke's Hospital helps you prepare for the birth of your baby, the changes a new baby brings, and the special care you and your baby will need. We recommend completing classes by 36 weeks, in the event that baby is delivered early.

Parents watch videos ahead of the class date and come together for a hospital tour and Q & A with an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse.

• The Saigh Foundation Special Care Nursery, St. Luke's level II neonatal nursery cares for premature infants born as early as 30 weeks and newborns with other special medical needs. Neonatologists, pediatricians, certified neonatal nurse practitioners and specially-trained nursing staff provide advanced care and specialized support.
• Breastfeeding support and resources among the area's best. Board-certified lactation consultants make personal visits with breastfeeding moms while in the hospital for instruction and support. They also staff our onsite Lactation Center and offer telephone and outpatient consultations to support a successful breastfeeding experience.
