Our Grant Scheme is now open for applications! You can apply for grants from October 2024 to June 2025.
Join us for our Open Day on Saturday, November 23rd, from 11 am - 1 pm at The Mill if you’re interested in applying for any of the grants listed below. We’ll be there to provide information, support, and guidance through the application process.
Each individual or group may apply only once during this period by emailing their completed form to [email protected].

Grant Categories:
1. Small Grants
For individuals and groups in the SJSBL area who are addressing a local need without pursuing profit.
Includes groups led by service users, volunteers, and others.
Applicants can request up to £500 for activities and projects aimed at improving the local community and aligning with our main goals.

2. Local Community Organisations and Charities
Available to constituted groups with committees, registered charities, community interest companies, and social enterprises, including some with professional leadership.
These groups can apply for grants up to £5,000.
Proposals must clearly demonstrate the need for the project and how it will benefit people in the SJSBL area.
Funding may be used for various purposes, such as purchasing equipment or supporting organisational needs, provided the project meets St James Street Big Local’s criteria and will be completed by September 2025.
