St James’s Hospital HSCP Transition year (In-Person) information event – 2026

This is a two-hour event to attend in person where there will be presentations from the professions listed below:

· Social Work

· Speech & Language Therapist

· Clinical Nutritionist (Dietitian)

· Occupational Therapist

· Physiotherapist

These presentations will provide information to Transition year students regarding: what “a day in the life” looks like, career progression, salary, annual leave and information regarding useful subjects to study in school if interested in pursuing a Third Level education course.

There will be light refreshments mid-event and time to ask questions and speak to the clinicians after the presentations. Please note there will be no access or visitation permitted to the hospital wards as part of this event. It is an information event only.

** Please note for insurance purposes, students attending must have a named adult in attendance with them. Multiple students can have the same named adult i.e. teacher/parent bringing a class/group. Every individual attending must have a ticket **

Date: Monday13th April 2026

Location: Robert William Smith Lecture Theatre, Trinity Centre for Health Sciences building on St James’s Hospital campus.

Time: 1pm – 3pm

Registration: 12.30pm sharp

Fee: €10.00 euro
