St Ives Harbour Swim

We are delighted to say that the St Ives Harbour Swim is back this year on Saturday 26th September (first race 4.30pm). This local event dates back to the 1870’s when local youngsters used to compete for the coveted Town Cup. In 2009 a small committee formed with the aim of restarting this event and it was a great, successful afternoon of fun!
As in previous years this is an event which is open to residents of St Ives only and entrants must live permanently at a TR26 postcode. There are no exceptions to this!
Age Groups with males and female categories are: Town Cup (16 and over); 40+ ; 8/9 years; 10/11 years; 12/13 years; 14/15 years. There is also the Endeavour Cup – presented in memory of Sgt. Paul Fox – which is chosen by the organisers on the day.
The entry fee is £9.00 (cash,cheque,bank transfer) to include a t-shirt for pre-entries. Last date for pre-entries to guarantee a tshirt is 31st August although entries will be accepted up to 4pm on the day of the event.
