St. Charles Market on Main Street Peach Cobbler Contest

The St. Charles Market is hosting a Peach Festival on July 25 and as part of it, we are having our first annual Peach Cobbler Contest.

Join the fun! Enter your homemade peach cobbler for a chance to win a great prize and bragging rights!

HOW TO ENTER

Participants are encouraged to pre-register using the online entry form found here. Entries received by July 24 will receive a discounted entry fee of $5.00. Day of entry fee will go up to $10. We ask that each participant bring two (2) cobblers: one to be used for judging and the other will be sold and proceeds will benefit a local food pantry.
Day of entries will be accepted. Participants should bring an entry form, cobbler, and 10.00 entry fee to the City of St. Charles tent by 10:00 a.m. on July 25th.

CONTEST RULES:

· Cobblers must be dropped off at the Market by 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 25th.

· A full list of ingredients is required (no measurements necessary).

· All cobblers must be made from scratch. No store-bought crusts or fillings.

· One entry per household.

· Amateur bakers only.

· Peaches must be the main filling ingredient. Do NOT use raisins or other fruits. Nuts are NOT allowed as a filling ingredient, but can be used in the crust if needed for a gluten-free cobbler.

· Entry fees are nonrefundable.

· Rule violations may cause for your cobbler to be deemed ineligible for participation in the contest, at the sole discretion of St. Charles Market staff.

MORE INFORMATION:

· Cobblers will be judged on texture, taste, and appearance.

· The first place winner will receive a grand prize and bragging rights!

· The judges’ scores will not be distributed to participants.

· Non-disposable plates must be picked up at the conclusion of the contest.
