St Brelade’s Football Club will be hosting a charity 11-a-side fancy dress football match to help raise funds for local little girl Amelia Seren and her upcoming intensive therapy at NAPA London.
Amelia is 3 years old and has a rare genetic condition caused by a mutation in the PAX6 gene. She is blind and has significant developmental delays, including low muscle tone and difficulties with mobility, meaning she is still working incredibly hard towards walking and talking.
Despite the challenges she faces, Amelia is determined, happy and works hard every single day with physiotherapy to build strength, balance and independence.
The funds raised from this event will help Amelia attend NAPA London, where she will take part in an intensive three-week physiotherapy programme involving three specialist sessions every day. The therapy focuses on improving strength, stability, coordination and mobility, giving Amelia the best possible opportunity to continue progressing towards walking.
Unfortunately, this specialist therapy is not available through standard healthcare and comes with huge costs for treatment, travel, accommodation and time away from work for her family.
Our target is to raise £5,000 towards Amelia’s therapy costs — and we’d love your support.
