Join the St Andrews Madrigal Group for a summer concert of Madrigals, Partsongs and Sacred Classics, featuring works by Weelkes, Elgar, Chesnokov and Finzi. Founded in 1946, we are a student-led choir of 16 singers from the University of St Andrews who perform regularly in the town and further afield. While Madrigals are at the heart of what we do, our repertoire has expanded since our founding to include music from Renaissance Europe right through to the Romantic English Partsong, and we now explore contemporary works too, including new music written for the group. Following on from our successful Winter Tour to Prague and 80th Anniversary Celebrations, we are delighted to soon be embarking on our annual Summer Tour of the UK. This year we will travel the length of the country, giving concerts in 11 churches and cathedrals from Edinburgh and Kirkcudbrightshire down to Kent and East Sussex; we do hope you will be able to join us!

There will be a retiring collection at the end of the concert which will be split 50:50 between the St. Andrew's Madrigal Group and the St. Paul's Organ Renovation Fund.
