SSL Live at UT Dallas: A Connected Audio Production Experience
About this Event
Experience SSL’s live, studio, and broadcast technology in action during an exclusive audio production event at the Bass School’s ATC Auditorium, presented by FOH engineer Bear Arispe and featuring a live performance by The Funky Knuckles.
This live demonstration will showcase how SSL brings studio-quality processing, flexible control, immersive mixing, broadcast workflow, and powerful live mixing capabilities together in a modern production environment.
During the performance, the audio will be distributed to three production spaces simultaneously using Dante to transport multiple channels of audio:
- In the performance theater, guests will hear the live mix processed through an SSL Live L350 Plus console
- Multi-channel audio will be captured in the recording studio which features an SSL Origin EVO console
- Outside the facility in the Sweetwater Airstream, the performance will be mixed through an SSL System T S500m immersive music/broadcast console

- Internal effects and vocal processing
- Expandability and sound quality
- How Dante ties everything together with flexible digital routing
Designed for live engineers, recording engineers, production teams, educators, students, and audio professionals of all levels, this event goes beyond a traditional presentation. Attendees will experience the workflow in a true live-performance setting – with musicians, microphones, a PA, an audience, and the connected technology required to produce live sound, studio recordings, and broadcast mixes at the same time.
After the performance, guests will be invited to tour each console environment, hear the recordings, compare the workflows, and connect directly with the teams behind the setup.
