SSHS Creative Arts Excellence Experience Day Year 5s 2025 (Year 7 2027)

Creative Arts Experience Day 2025 - Tuesday, 10th February 2026 8:30am-2:15pm

Places in the Creative Arts Excellence Program at Southport State High School are highly regarded and in high demand. Throughout this experience day, students will participate in two workshops within the Creative Arts Excellence Areas.

When selecting your ticket type (eg.Dance /Drama/Musical Theatre/Visual Art/Music) this will be for your student's first workshop in the morning. You will then be asked for your students second subject preference for the second workshop in the afternoon. You must choose a diferent creative arts subject for the second session. We will do our best to accomodate your students preference for the afternoon workshop.

By signing your student/s up, you are giving them permission to attend the SSHS Excellence Experience Day.

Please take note of the map below and familiarize yourself with our Creative Arts Theatre as this is where parent sign in and out will occur.

Info: Parent sign-in will take place at the Creative Arts Theatre. We ask that parents have their identification ready upon arrival for sign-in and sign-out. Please ensure the ID matches the details provided during event registration.

Info: Students will be welcomed to the day ahead and grouped into their morning workshop classes.

Info: Workshop 1 is your student’s first preference. During this session, they will take part in engaging lessons that strengthen the key skills we look for in our future Year 7 students. This time slot will include a 15/20 minute morning tea, and toilet break.

Info: Students will be inside our creative arts excellence theatre eating their lunch and talking to one another about their morning experiences.

Info: Students will be grouped into their afternoon workshop classes.

Info: Workshop 2 is your student’s second preference. During this session, they will take part in engaging lessons that strengthen the key skills we look for in our future Year 7 students. This time slot will include a 15/20 minute morning tea, and toilet break.
