In Honor of the passing of one of the Cold Duck founders, this event will now be called the Frank Copi Cold Duck Run! In 2026 we are celebrating our 50th year of this proud tradition!!!
Members are welcome to bring a dish to share with friends around the campfire!
Some of you may or may not be aware there is a traditional 4 mile Cold Duck route which goes out through Leland Grove and includes jumping to touch (or try to touch) a basketball hoop/net at the end of a dead end street and a hill sprint at Illini Country Club. You are welcome to run this route, or run loops in the park if you are more comfortable with a closed course, or not run at all. There are no real rules on Cold Duck morning....what happens at the Cold Duck, stays at the Cold Duck. 😜
More details to come!
