SRO/SSO Human Trafficking Awareness Training
About this Event
FREE SRO/SSO Human Trafficking Awareness Training
You're invited to join the nonprofit Alliance Against Human Trafficking 501(c)(3) and GFWC Ohio Eastlake Women’s Club, along with other local, county, state, federal, and non-government agencies for a day focusing on education, connections, and providing Northeast Ohio resource information.
This year's focus is the intersection of human trafficking with substance use, mental health, missing persons, and providing supportive services including interdiction, outreach, and harm reduction. Topics will also include information regarding trauma-informed, survivor-centered resources, and much more. Cooperation and collaboration are essential for law enforcement agencies, Fire/EMS, medical professionals, social services, behavioral health services, educators, government and non-government organizations, the legal system, and community members to combat human trafficking and to provide trauma-informed, victim-centered comprehensive services for victims, survivors, and at-risk individuals.
Lunch provided for registered attendees.
