Fiji Sangam Association of Victoria takes a great pleasure in inviting you and your family to the annual Thaipusam Pooja at FSAV Cultural Centre on Saturday 15th of February 2025 at Cultural Centre - 4/6 RIMFIRE DRIVE,HALLAM VIC 3803.
What is the Significance of Thaipusam Pooja
Thaipusam festival is celebrated between January and February. It honors Lord Murugan, Son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is regarded as a day when good triumphed over evil. On this day, Mother Goddess Parvati gave him this divine weapon to protect the world from harm. The “Vel” is a symbol of light and wisdom used by Lord Murugan to rid all the evil forces and to restore peace and balance to the universe.
Program :
Morning 9.00am - 11:30am Swami Murugan (Abhishekum & Homa)
11:30am - 12:00pm Snacks and Tea
Afternoon 5:00pm - 7:30pm Cavadee Pooja
7:30pm - Prasadam and Dinner
Devotees are welcome to bring prasadam for pooja. Any financial donations will be appreciated, devotees can direct deposit into FSAV back account BSB 063-023 Acct 10001723, narration Thaipusam. EFTPOS service is also available at the Centre.

Cavadee hire is $15. Dakshina for Maha Subramani Homa is $15.
