Join us at Spyhouse Rochester to swap books and find new reads! Proceeds of event will benefit Paws & Claws of Rochester.
About this Event

Join us for our first ever book fair! Financial proceeds from event will go to Paws & Claws of Rochester.

What you can expect:

Expect a fun and casual book fair. The intent is to utilize our space to provide the community a place to exchange books for a great cause. We will provide a salty and a sweet snack free of charge. We will also have raffle tickets for purchase with various prizes available. This is a charitable event, all proceeds will benefit Paws & Claws Humane Society of Rochester.

Prior to Event - We are accepting books to drop off prior to the event. Bring your books in during the days prior to the event. This will help us to have a bigger book pool to begin. We will exchange book tickets for your dropped off books (3 tickets for soft covers, 5 tickets for hard covers). You will also receive a 10% discount on a cafe drink, if you purchase a drink during your donation. Don't have time to drop off your books ahead of time? That is not a problem. We accept books during the event as well.

Tickets - Tickets are free of charge, however, we ask that you "purchase" the tickets on this site (again cost for tickets is $0). This will help track how many attendees we can expect.

During the Event - When you arrive, please check in with the attendant at the door to the book fair. If you have brought books with you, the attendant will then exchange books for tickets with you.We will also have a raffle for curated prizes! Purchase raffle entries with the volunteer at book intake. Winners will be announced within one week of the event. Once you have your tickets, you can proceed into the Book Fair room to begin selecting books for yourself.

Don't have books to trade in? No problem, we accept CASH as form of payment.

Books will be priced at $3 for soft covers, $5 for hard covers. Each ticket will be the equivalent of $1. Once you have selected your books, you will exit the room through a side door. Outside of the side door, a different attendant will accept your tickets for the books you chose. If you do not have enough tickets to cover the cost of each book, you can pay the difference in CASH.
