Spruce Up the Square

Spruce Up the Square is an hour-long weekly volunteer series every Sunday morning hosted by Downtown Cleveland, Inc. Join the Downtown Green Team to beautify Cleveland's central park by helping with a variety of tasks, including pruning, trimming, weeding, litter removal, and more as necessary.

Tools, gloves, and other supplies will be provided. Please bring water, and wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty.

2026 Spruce Up the Square events will take place from 11am-12pm on Sundays, May through October, unless stated otherwise. Join us for as many as you can depending on your interest and availability. Please RSVP for whichever session(s) you plan on attending so we have an idea of how many volunteers to expect.

We will begin promptly at 11am at the Public Square Hospitality Kiosk (adjacent to the Splash Pad).
