SPROCKET Hub Launch
About this Event
Launch of the SPROCKET Hub, an NIHR-funded research and innovation hub, led by University College London.
The SPROCKET Hub launch brings together researchers, professionals, families, and young people to introduce a new hub focused on improving transitions for children and young people with complex health needs.
The launch event will include:
- Brief introduction to the SPROCKET Hub
- Panel discussion, with the leaders in children's services, parent and young person co-investigators, and the SPROCKET Hub's leads
- Creative activity, led by the Hub's embedded artist, Dr Ngozi Oparah
- Welcome reception with canapés and non-alcoholic refreshments
The event will showcase the Hub’s vision, values, and priorities, highlight opportunities for collaboration and co‑production, and create space for shared learning and connection across sectors.
Panellists include:
- Amanda Allard, Director Council for Disabled Children
- John Anthony, Executive Director of Children’s Services at Barnet Council
- Two parents of children with complex needs
- A young person with complex needs

Attendance is free but you must register to attend.
Young people with complex health needs, accompanied by an adult, are welcome.
