Springs Quest: Discover Rainbow Springs

Learn through exploration at Rainbow Springs State Park! Program starts at 10 am at the headsprings located at Rainbow Springs State Park:

10:00 am All participants must check-in and get a pass to enjoy the second half of the day.

Speaking topics to look forward to:

• Understanding Rainbow Springs: Hydrogeology, water quality, and nutrient loading
• Florida-Friendly Landscaping for Springs Protection
• Springs Science and Restoration Efforts
• Management and Restoration at Rainbow Springs State Park (guided walk) with park volunteer, Terry Seekamp

After the guided walk, participants who have checked in and gotten their pass will drive to the KP Hole County Park, just a short 10-minute drive.

12:00 pm Drive to KP Hole (personal car) for lunch and a boat ride

(Entry will be provided only to those with a pass)

• Aquatic vegetation, invasive species, and water-quality monitoring

Cost: $20 + Eventbrite fees (includes both park entry, lunch, & boat ride)

Must be 18+ to attend. Space is limited. Registration is required. NO PETS Allowed! Special accommodation requests must be made to Ondine Wells at [email protected] at least 2 weeks in advance. We apologize, but no service animals are allowed on the boat. The boat ride will be provided by a third party that may require a signed waiver.
