Springs Preserve Macro Workshop with Nikon Ambassador Joey Terrill

Butterflies, hummingbirds, colorful flowers, and an amazing array of patterns and textures are just some of the possible subjects at the beautiful Springs Preserve Botanical Garden. Throughout a day of exploration, professional photographer Joey Terrill will share techniques that will take your macro photographs to new levels. He will show you how to find interesting subjects and compositions, the best techniques for working up close, and how to easily create the best light for your subjects. The preserve is home to a variety of flowers, herbs, cactus, a rose garden, and many beautiful birds. All levels of photographic skill are welcome for a day of detail, beauty, and photography.

At the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, Joey Terrill will be conducting a Macro Photography workshop. We will meet in the Mesquite Room for a presentation with refreshments, followed by a day of shooting. We will follow the outside activities, returning to the Mesquite Room. to answer any questions and talk about images.

Throughout the shooting part of the day below, Joey will be with the group to offer tips, guidance, ideas, or any help you need. He will NOT be photographing. Joey is there exclusively to help you make the pictures you wish to make.

An all day pass to the Springs Preserve is included in the workshop fee.

Bring your camera, any type, even an iPhone or mobile device, for an afternoon of shooting.

Absolutely NO tripods are permitted. Monopods are acceptable.
