The Ozarks Gem & Mineral Society sponsors a fall show, which has moved to a NEW LOCATION!! This event will be held at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E Plex (West Hall), 3001 N Grant Avenue, Springfield, MO 65803. Lots of free parking; admission is $5 per person over 5 years old - or - $20/family pass. Show dates (we've added an extra day this year) are October 17 - 19; hours are 9 - 5 all three days. There will be 30+ vendors selling all sorts of rock-related items including jewelry, geode cracking, slabs, rough, minerals, display specimens, novelties, and much more, The Kids Corner will have fun events for the kids on Saturday and Sunday, including a scavenger hunt, rock races, and a free rock specimen starter kit the kids get to build (while supplies last), The club will have the Silent Auction, Rock Identification Booth, Grab Bag sales, Membership signups, and raffle ticket sales.
