About this Event

Join Common Wealth Murals for a guided tour through Springfield’s vibrant outdoor gallery, featuring internationally recognized muralists, powerful community stories, AfriCOBRA restorations, graffiti culture, civil rights history, and larger-than-life tributes to local heroes and cultural icons. From murals honoring Ruth E. Carter and Ben Ramos to bold works exploring justice, identity, immigration, music, and belonging, this tour is a visual journey through the histories and hopes of Springfield’s neighborhoods.

  • Sunday June 7 at 5PM
  • Wednesday June 17 at 5PM
  • Friday June 19th at 2:30, 4 and 5:30. In celebration of Juneteenth, these tours will highlight the murals that honor the artistry, history, activism, and lasting contributions of the city’s Black community.

All the tours are free, but seats are limited.

Start & End Location:
Mason Square Library, 765 State Street, Springfield, MA
Parking available at the library and in the lot behind the library.

Please note: Unfortunately, the bus is not accessible to people with limited mobility.
