Register at https://runsignup.com/Race/IL/Kankakee/Springfest5KRun. The race will be run partly on a city street and mostly on an asphalt trail. It will start and finish on N 5th Street just north of the YMCA, at the intersection with N 6th Avenue. We will be using the north parking lot of the YMCA. There is also plenty of parking across Kennedy Drive at Meadowview Center. Restrooms will be available at the YMCA. Participants need to wear their bib numbers on the front and have them visible when entering the start area and when coming to the finish line. If you sign up for the walk, you must walk the entire distance. No running, no sprinting to the finish line.
Bottled water and pre-wrapped snacks such as granola bars and bananas will be available at the finish.
All participants will receive a finisher’s award. There will also be Overall and Age Group awards. Also available, for an extra $10 is a T-shirt with the race logo and info imprinted on it. You must be registered by no later than noon on April 6th to order a T-shirt. Part of the proceeds of the race will be donated to Kankakee Area YMCA. Dues-paying club members may enter a coupon code of CLUB at checkout to receive a $2 discount.
