Spring Weeding at Ehlen Park Pollinator Habitat

Join us on Monday, June 8th from 9:00AM-12:00PM as we pull weeds from the garden beds to improve pollinator habitat. This event will be held on-site at Ehlen Park, located at 1131 Benton St, Anoka, MN 55303.

The program is free but registration is required to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone. This event will involve walking on paved trails and uneven forest floor. Volunteer work will also involve bending, digging, lifting, and watering. If you anticipate needing any accommodations in order to volunteer or have any questions, please contact Lauren Schmelzer by email at [email protected] or call 763-434-2030 x220.

In case of bad weather, this event may be postponed. All registered volunteers will be informed in advance and an alternative date and time will be provided through email.

Please bring a water bottle, sun protection, insect repellent, and gardening gloves (ACD has some gloves for volunteers, but it is encouraged to bring your own). We recommend wearing long pants and close-toed shoes or hiking boots to protect yourself from spiky plants and dirt.

There is no formal parking lot at Ehlen Park. Please park on the street in the surrounding neighborhood.
