🌿 W**d Wrangle at the Joe Ford Nature Center 🌿📅 Saturday, April 11
⏰ 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Join us for a morning of hands-on conservation at the Joe Ford Nature Center! Volunteers will help remove invasive plant species like bush honeysuckle and wintercreeper, which threaten our native woodland habitat.
Invasive plants spread quickly and crowd out the native trees, wildflowers, and wildlife that belong here. By removing them, we give our woods a chance to regenerate naturally and help protect the biodiversity that makes this space so special.
No experience is needed — just a willingness to get your hands a little dirty for a great cause.
What to bring:
• Work gloves (if you have them)
• Wear long pants and sturdy shoes
We’ll provide:
• Water
• Snacks
• Tools and guidance
W**d Wrangles are a simple but powerful way to make a real impact on our local environment, and every helping hand makes a difference.
Come spend a couple hours outdoors helping care for this beautiful space! 🌳
