Experience the beauty of Kentucky in spring with a scenic train ride through the heart of horse country! As we journey through rolling fields, you might spot mares and their playful foals, making for a truly picturesque adventure.Departure Times:
Boarding begins 30 minutes before each posted departure time (11 am and 2 pm) to ensure all passengers are seated and ready to leave on schedule. Arrive early to explore our historic museum, interactive model railroads, and fascinating on-ground displays.
Seating Options:
Select the experience that suits you best:
* First Class Cars – Enjoy comfortable padded seats in climate-controlled comfort
* Open Air Cars - Take in the all sights, sounds, and fresh air of the rails with an open-air ride for an experience that puts you right in the action
All passengers will enjoy a 90-minute journey filled with history, great scenery, and interesting commentary.
Scenic Stop at Young’s High Bridge:
Midway through the ride, we’ll pause for a short break so you can step off and walk to the edge of Young’s High Bridge, offering breathtaking views of the Kentucky River Palisades.
Accessibility:
Due to the historic design of our railcars, we are currently unable to accommodate wheelchairs. However, passengers using walkers or canes should be able to board and exit the train with ease.
Restrooms:
Please note that while restrooms are available at the museum station, there are NO restroom facilities onboard the train.
Parking:
Once you get to the museum, cross the railroad crossing and then turn left where you will find a large parking lot with plenty of spaces.
Ticket Prices:
First Class & Open Air Class: Adults $20, Children (2-12) $18
Cab Ride: $75 (limited to two riders, who must be able to board and exit the locomotive unassisted)
