NEW LOCATION: East River Front Park
What can we expect?
We’ve retired the traditional candy scramble and instead will be handing out candy and/or small toys at each spring themed activity at the event. We've reimagined the event as a “Spring Celebration” that aligns with Arbor Day and Earth Day, while keeping the elements families love:
• Baby animal petting zoo
• The Dunk Team
• Spring characters for photos
• Master Gardeners to consult on your spring planting
• Tree planting demonstrations by the City's Arborists
• Tree and plant raffle
• Plant cutting exchange
• A spring themed maze painted on the grass you can walk through
• Food Trucks through the Food Truck League
• Vendor Booths from Good4Life Markets
• And more!
This new event will take place on Saturday, April 18th, from 10 am - 4 pm. We're thinking of this event as more of an "open house" type event where attendees can come and leave as they like, and should plan to spend around 90 minutes at the event depending on how much they want to do and how long they spend at each station.
In addition to the activities listed above, we’ll be giving away 250 two-gallon trees saplings to residents. This effort supports our environmental goals and celebrates America’s 250th anniversary as part of the nationwide America250 initiative.
