Spring School Tour Season Opens!

School Tours Now Available: Step Back in Time at Our 1920s Homestead Farm!

Tour Dates: April 1 2025 – May 16 2025

📍 Location: The Farm or a shared Farm and Prophetstown State Park Tour

Bring your students on an unforgettable journey to the past with a hands-on tour of our historic 1920s homestead farm! Our school tours are a unique opportunity for children to step back in time and experience life on a farm just as it was nearly 100 years ago.

What Students Will Experience:

🌾 Farm Animals: Students will get up close with our friendly farm animals including horses cows pigs goats sheep chickens ducks turkeys a mini horse and even a donkey! They’ll learn about the animals’ roles on the farm and what life was like for farmers in the 1920s.

🏡 Living History Museum: Step inside two original Sears & Roebuck houses filled with authentic antiques from the 1920s. These houses provide a real-life glimpse into the past showing students how families lived worked and thrived on an early 20th-century farm.

💬 Engaging Educational Programs: Our knowledgeable guides will lead your students through the history of the farm providing fun facts and fascinating stories about the 1920s the history of farming and how life on the homestead was shaped by the land animals and community.

Booking Information:

Tours are available from April 1 to May 16 2025 and can be scheduled on weekdays 10-3pm. Tours typically last 1 – 1.5 hours. Group sizes are limited to ensure a personalized experience for each student.
