We're grateful to announce that the next poetry night will be held on Wednesday April 1st. Please note that we will be meeting at a new location this time;
The Jamb @ 139 High Avenue.
Doors open at 5:30pm.
To support this new venue, we are asking for a $5 donation per attendee. The registration form and details on reserving a spot for open mic, are in the ticket link below.
On this Spring evening, we will be exploring themes of downpour, nature, magic, and the fool. The gathering is designed to cast a spell of protection, to weave enchantments of lasting growth, and to enrich us with an inspiration that will long outlive our future obstacles.
Milan will be hosting the opening section of the night, followed by a few scheduled guests and an open mic at the end. We prefer that you choose from literary pieces that relate to the themes of this gathering, but ultimately, any poetry that inspires you is welcome. Get out of your comfort zone and share something beautiful. Your courage to get on stage is all it takes to grow. Truly.
The event will include an immersive and unique set design, a collection of homemade tea assortments, fine selections of pre-released jewelry, and a soil-warming downpour of organic poetry. You won’t want to miss it.
The Jamb is the most recent venture of Jambalaya Arts Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
We are leasing this new space with the intention of empowering local production and performance-related arts. It’s a space for music, theater, comedy, photography, videography, poetry, and so much more.
This is a new and amazing opportunity for everyone in our community, and we hope to see you all take advantage of this space for hosting events or recording your dream projects. There are no limits to what you can create when you have a large studio to work with. We want to see all of you shine.
