Definition:The term plein air translates to "in the open air". It's a method of painting that involves capturing the essence of a subject or landscape by incorporating natural light, color, and movement into the work.
Ever wondered about Plein Air painting? Join us at the McArdle property to get together and paint the fall colors and enjoy networking with community members and artists. All artists levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to engage and learn from each other. All mediums welcome. Photographers welcome.
Weather permitting we’ll have the space open from 10am to 2pm.
We are charging $5 for snacks and drinks, bring all your own supplies.
Things to consider:
How long do you want to stay? Bring enough supplies for the time and amount of work you want to create.
Bring water, snacks and food.
You are your own artist and you have your own style! Don’t worry about skill or technique. Get out there and create ART!
Consider the size of your canvas. If you’re new to plain air consider that smaller isn’t always better, think about bringing a few sizes of the surface you are using.
Last but not least… Mike is opening up his space to connect with others and come together as a community. Please be mindful of the space, property and other artists.
