Join us for our first ever plant swap co-hosted by Lida's Jungle!Check in from 5:30-6:30. The swap will begin at 7pm.
How it works:
Swappers will hand in their plants for trade when they check in, and choose a random colored paper from a jar. We will inspect all plants for pests and place them randomly on the swap table.
Swappers will choose their plants in rounds, one per round for each plant that you brought. Each round, a color will be drawn from the jar at random. The people who picked that color will get to choose one plant. Then we will draw the next colors one by one. After everyone has gone in the first round, we will repeat that process until everyone has used up all their picks. This process ensures a random and fair chance for everyone!
We will be sharing some FAQs soon, but for now, start thinking about what plants you want to clip, root, or separate for the swap!
We are also excited that the Pinellas County Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society will be joining us, sharing information and giving away free plants! The Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS) promotes preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities. Learn how to stop using pesticides and fertilizer in your garden. Create a butterfly and bird friendly yard that helps the environment. FNPS will have native plants, literature, and butterfly posters to hand out and help you on your way!
The Plant Swap is open to the whole community, not just club members.
