Spring Meteors and Night Sky Reflections

What is a shooting star? Is there a difference between a meteor, a comet or an asteroid? Where do they all come from? Stow stargazers will share their perspective during this informative evening and reflect on other near-earth objects in the skies.

The evening will culminate in an exclusive guided walk through Walthamstow Wetlands with a chance to try see some of the Lyrids meteor shower (weather permitting), which is peaking at this time (weather permitting). The event will take place regardless of the weather and night sky conditions, and is a chance to enjoy this wonderful urban nature reserve after hours.

It’s not essential but feel free to bring binoculars and a red-light torch. Wrap up warm for your exclusive evening tour. All profits from this event are invested into London Wildlife Trust’s conservation and education work and the care of its nature reserves.

**The content of this event is suitable to people aged 15 and over, and people under 18 must hold a ticket and be accompanied by a responsible adult during the event.
