Spring Lantern‑Making Workshop (Rabbits + Birds)
Date: Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM both days
Registration: $20.00 / person, $30.00 / family in advance online or in person at Paper Umbrella (2724 13th Avenue). PWYC option available - please contact [email protected] to inquire.
*Advance registration closes at 8:00 AM day-of. Additional slots will be available at the door unless it is officially labelled SOLD OUT*

Workshop Details
All ages - all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Over two days, you’ll build beautiful, long-lasting lanterns using traditional techniques: frame construction, paper application, and lighting. Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own paper, especially tissue paper, which works best, and your own stick.
Feel free to bring your own lunch or snacks. Please avoid peanuts to keep the workshop safe for everyone.
This is the first of a series of art-making workshops creating pieces for the Cathedral Village Arts Festival parade.
