Limited Seating Available!!! Reserve your spots now! How do scientists learn about animals that lived millions of years ago, especially when they don’t have a complete skeleton? In this hands-on program hosted by the Yellowstone Missouri Confluence Interpretive Center and held at the Keelboat at Spring Lake Park, kids ages 6–10 will become fossil detectives, learning how paleontologists use fossils as clues to understand how ancient animals lived, moved, and survived. Participants will explore different types of fossils, including bones, teeth, tracks, and burrows, and discover how each one reveals important information about behavior and environment. Through a guided fossil evidence lab and a simple trace fossil activity, kids will practice observing, comparing, and explaining their thinking, just like real scientists while uncovering the stories hidden in the fossil record!
