About this Event
Join us for this Spring Hatha Workshop, consisting of 4 classes to enhance your body and overall strength!
While the workshop is open to all, our primary focus will be on supporting older adults aged 45 and above in their journey to build strength by incorporating resistance bands into their yoga practice. Participants will be able to explore the benefits of practicing yoga with and without resistance bands, enhancing their understanding and experience of traditional yoga poses. We aim to create a dynamic and enjoyable spring yoga experience, encouraging participants to try something new while prioritizing the importance of building strong bones and muscles, particularly for older adults.
This workshop consists of 4 sessions that can be attended individually or as a workshop set.
April 7th - Glutes & Upper Body
April 21st - Legs, Arms & Back
May 5th - Core & Legs
May 19th - Entire Body
Class Details
April 7th - Glutes, upper body pushing strength building: -
saying "Just do it" overcomes the mind saying "it is too hard" or "I don't have time"!
Experience different yoga poses with bands and focus on the glutes and upper body with different pushing works!
This class will help build strength in the glutes and upper body to have a better posture, increase metabolism, and make activities that require upper body strength easier. This class will help you feel stronger to handle all responsibilities in your life!
- April 21st - Legs, Arms & squatting strength building - realizing your power within
Experience different yoga poses with bands on arms, quads, and feet to build strength, especially on the lower body!
This class is focused on helping strengthen bones and muscles, enhance focus, and boost mood and energy to feel good! This class helps you transition from feeling depleted to realizing you have the power and strength to handle what is happening in your life.
May 5th - Trunk/Core Stability & Pulling Strength Building
Reconnect Back to Your Willpower and Strength
Experience different yoga poses with bands to build trunk/core stability and pulling strength building!
The exercises in this class will help you feel more at ease when you move your body and help give better balance to prevent falling. More importantly, this class will help you connect back to your inner willpower and core strength to know that you can, would and will be able to do things that you want to do!
May 19th - Whole Body Strength Building
Ignite the feeling of being able to move to your goal and dream!
Experience different yoga poses with bands and focus on movements that require upper & lower body work together!
This class will focus on increasing the balance and coordination of the upper body and lower body to enhance whole-body strength.
What Will You Receive from Each Session?
From each session, you will be able to create an enjoyable practice that works for you and incorporate aspects of the sessions into your life, helping you enhance your body strength and overall health.
Level: Beginners welcome as all sessions in this workshop are beginner-friendly!
Age: This workshop is intended for ages 45+ but we welcome all ages to attend!
What to Bring: A yoga mat and a bottle of water are all that's needed! We will have resistance bands, tea, water, and snacks for the event available for you!
