Hey all,We are organizing a beginner-friendly European-style ball in Burnaby this May.
We envision this as a social event where people can learn historic dances *(not ballroom dances - like tango or foxtrot, but more slow Waltz, English country dance, mazurka type of dance)*, dress up - fantasy-inspired, floral, or historic outfits, and meet new people.
Before the ball, there are a few rehearsals where everyone learns the dances together, so you see the same faces multiple times, talk, laugh, and get comfortable.
