Join Herbal Meadows Botanicals at CanDo Acres in Paw Paw, MI for a guided foraging excursion. CanDo Acres is a family-owned 30 acre farm caring for alpacas, sheep, goats, donkey and other animals as a “retirement and rescue” farm. Because of the age of the animals, we ask you do not pet them. CanDo Acres also allows us to use their land as one of our apiaries so you will be able to see our bees from afar. We will have some of our honey for sale as well. Participants will learn to identify native plants that grow in our climate. We will discuss ethical harvesting practices and explore the farms offerings. Everyone will receive a brown paper bag to take home what they have wild harvested. We will converse about fun ways to use what you have gathered at home. **Bring a pen and notebook for notes. Bring long leather gloves if you want to harvest stinging nettle! This is a rain or shine event. We will cancel and refund only in extreme weather conditions such and thunderstorms or high winds. Please dress accordingly. Closed toe shoes are a must. Please consider boots, coat, hat, umbrella, etc.
Bring a backpack and dress down if you’re hot.
Payment deadline is APRIL 17th at noon. Limited tickets available. A minimum of 8 participants are required for this class to take place, or full refunds will be issued. No other refunds will be granted. End time is approximate.
