The Spring Equinox marks the moment when day and night stand in perfect balance. Light and darkness share the sky equally, reflecting the harmony that exists within the natural cycles of the earth. Themes of the Spring Equinox are balance, renewal, and the quiet beginning of growth. Traditional observances include decorating eggs, planting seeds, and creating altars with seasonal symbols.
Equinox rituals acknowledge the balance of light and dark, welcoming the earth’s gradual return to vitality.
To celebrate the Spring equinox, we will contemplate the energies and goals we wish to cultivate this coming year, followed by painting eggs with images representing growth, renewal, or personal intentions, as a symbol of the new possibilities emerging with the season. We will also be planting sunflower seeds to take home, celebrating the return of the sun and warmer days!
A light lunch will be provided; however, you are also welcome to bring a plate to share
