Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend as The Allen Community Band, under the direction of Craig Logan and Associate Director, Ray Akin, concludes its Twelfth Season with its Spring Concert on Saturday, May 10 in the Lowery Freshman Center Auditorium. Doors open at 2:30PM and downbeat is at 3:00PM. The Concert is free and open to the public.
Music will include the main theme from The Pacific miniseries, our Memorial Day tribute to those lost protecting our freedom, music from Wicked, a medley of early American Riversongs, a flashy, celebratory, piece…Wedding Dance. and a surprise selection for Mothers in attendance!
Concluding the concert, the Band will perform John Phillip Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever.
This is perhaps the most well-known American March in the world and is the traditional closing
selection of each season.
