Please join South Bay Circles for a celebration of Spring! In keeping with the agricultural cycles of our region here in California, the Temple of Inanna and Dumuzi will celebrate the descent of Dumuzi, Lord of Shephard and Field, into Irkalla, the Realm of the Dead. As He descends, His sister Geshtinanna, the Goddess of wine grapes and dreams, returns.
Ritual will be followed by a potluck. Please bring a dish to share, main courses, side dishes, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages are all welcome.
We will gather in the amphitheater located toward the back of the park, behind the main building.
A donation of $10 to $20 per person is requested to help pay for venue rental but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Ample parking is available in the parking lot as well as in surrounding neighborhood streets.
The Temple of Inanna and Dumuzi is a devotional polytheist group, working in a non-Wiccan ritual format. Inanna, Queen of Heaven and Earth, is the supreme Mesopotamian Goddess. She holds all the powers of civilization and civilized life. Dumuzi, Lord of Shephard and Field, is her beloved consort and King.
